    Tiers of Gravy formed in the Planet Ant Training Center all the way back in 2022 and have been continually refining their zany form of improv with a variety of coaches in the Detroit area. This show will feature an unstructured montage with organic group edits and lots of spontaneous play off the back line.

Each show begins with a two-person monologue inspired by an audience suggestion, creating a spark of real-life honesty and playful perspective. From there, the team launches into a fast-moving montage set, weaving together sharp characters, bold choices, and unexpected worlds—all built in the moment.

  • Screen Play: The Improvised Movie

    We are Screen Play: the Improvised Movie, an improv podcast hosted by three college friends. Every episode, we talk about a movie or a TV show one of us has seen, and based on the plot we improvise our own movie, complete with dialogue, camera direction, and plot points. The three of us play all of the characters and write all of the dialogue for a feature length film, fully on the fly. We have been doing this show for 5 years and at the time of this email have 40 episodes. The staged version of our show is the same format.

    Ants in the Hall

    Ants In The Hall is a Detroit-based comedy ensemble founded at Planet Ant Theatre in 2022 under the direction of Lauren Bickers. Known for their “somewhat scripted, mostly improvised” parodies, the group has toured the Midwest with their original show The Odyssey of Homer and produced acclaimed works including Hot for Hamtown, Improvised Stephen King, and Butt Rock The Musical.

    You can catch Second Breakfast regularly at Planet Ant on Mondays and Thursdays with appearances at Spread Art Beginners Luck at Go Comedy and a packed brewery stage in Livonia plus a spot at Colony Fest 2025. Coached by Tim David this ensemble brings experience trust and joyful chaos to the stage. Come hungry for laughs and leave wanting more.
